Just Some Pictures

Okay, so I said just some pictures, but let's face it... I can't not commentate...

The big boys have to get in on the action too...

Mommy gets soaked, but the boys are nice and dry under their umbrellas.

Noah loves to drive the neighbor's pink Barbie car. He lets her drive his Gator.

Mohawk and Umpalumpa.

A couple weeks ago, we went to a trivia night. The theme was "beach blanket." And there was a table decorating contest. I did not win, but I definitely had the best table!!!

Cutest centerpiece, EVER!

Sweet feet.

Cheeeeeeeeese!

The Great Hunters...

A couple weeks ago, Greg went turkey hunting for the first time since he was little. He did come home with a turkey. Of course, they boys wanted to see it. (It was much more interesting than lunch.) Greg was working on getting the meat out and cleaning up. We turned around to find this...

Yuck!!!!

Donut Detox

One Saturday morning, Greg took the boys to run some errands. They got to their destination and it didn't open for another hour or so. So, they did the only thing they could do... They went to Donut Palace.

Making a selection

Mmmmm....

Don't tell mommy!

At snack time, we had to do a little detox. (This was right after Easter and all the candy...) They had spinach and mango smoothies. Noah said it was the best smoothie he'd ever had. And, yes, he did know there was spinach in it. He watched me put it in.

Happy Easter!

Happy Easter...just a little late... The weekend before Easter, Noah's school hosted an Easter egg hunt. They had fun activities for the kids too. They were split up into groups by age and then had to run down to the other end of the gym to get their egg. It was very cute to watch the little kids.

Waiting patiently to go get an egg.

Running to get the egg.

Daddy helping John.

They told the little kids they could get two. Greg handed John the second one. John looked at both eggs, threw one down, and ran back. Apparently, he's particular about his Easter eggs.

Proud of his egg.

After the kids got their running out, we headed outside for the hunt. They sectioned areas off based on age. And, everyone was allowed 6 eggs until everyone got some.

John and Remi checking out their treasure.

Haven't figured out yet there are treats in the eggs.

A couple of years ago, I got the boys Resurrection Eggs. They love to sit and play with them. This year, Noah reminded me we hadn't gotten them out yet. It's such a fun way to learn about Easter.

John with the Resurrection Eggs.

True to form, we waited until the last minute to dye eggs. But it's fun no matter when you do it, right!? I made them take their shirts off. I have enough stains to get out. If I can avoid them by a little preemptive measure, I will! This year I found the best egg dye! It's called White Rabbit. It's made in St. Louis in fact. The eggs were so bright. (There is a picture at the very end of the post. And, we didn't leave the eggs in that long either.)

All ready!!

Watching the egg.

Talking about the eggs.

Watching and talking...

So sad the dying is all finished.

We spent Easter with Greg's parents and family. I got the boys all ready for church. John added his own accessories: pearls, a hat, and a bull puppet.

All ready for church.

Love the matching shorts.

It wouldn't be a trip to Grandpa's without a ride on the four wheeler (or behind it).

Stunts...

What is it about boys and buckets on their heads... John did this totally unprompted. Noah had a little encouragement. But every year, there is a bucket on the head.

Finding eggs.

Not watching where he's going...

Our very bright eggs

I was so proud of myself... I filled three Easter baskets for about $25 and there was no candy!!

The local farm and home store, Dicky Bub's, has chicks around Easter. We took the boys the see them.

Awwwwwwwwwweee...

Sweet little hands...

Notice how John does what Noah does...
