The Rest of June

The boys got fun little rocks you dig into and uncover a sea animal. They got them from the summer reading program at the library. It was hard work. But they enjoyed them.

Playing in the mulch while the big boys uncovered the turtles.

Working to unearth the turtle. Daddy helped.

Playing with squirters. Poor Hunter didn't get one... He just had to splash in the bucket.

Someone thinks it a good idea to disassemble the PB&J before eating it. Messy...

Noah helping lead a song at Vacation Bible Camp. He had a blast.

Hanging out at the lake.

Fun with daddy.

After a little coaxing, he decided the life jacket really would hold him up.

Jumping in!

Deep in the Heart of Texas

MiMi and I took the boys to Texas in June to visit Auntie Judy (MiMi's sister) and her family. It may have been the longest car trip ever... I was counting on about 12 hours...it took more like 13 or 13.5. But we had so much fun!!

Before we left Hunter had been walking some, but still mostly crawling. When we got out of the car, he never crawled again. He was ready to move after all that sitting.

Auntie Judy had so many fun things planned for the boys that we didn't even get to do all of it. The first day we were there, we went to an airplane museum. Added bonus...they had a Lego exhibit too!

Uncle Harry telling the boys how the plan works.

Using the flight simulator

Coming in for a landing.

Enjoying the Legos

Racing the car he built

The next day, we went to church. The boys went to their classes. Noah stayed in with John, "because he needed to help the teacher with the other kids." They are very sweet to each other sometimes! After church we had a little brunch and then back to Auntie Judy's for a little boy fun! She bought them little Caterpillar diggers, bulldozers, and such to play in the rocks in her landscaping. They loved it!!

Movin' some rocks

I love Auntie Judy's!

So sweet!

Why can't we play in the landscaping at home?!?!

Tick check...or something.

After naps, we went to feed the ducks at a close by lake. The boys loved it...I think the ducks did too. Hunter wasn't completely clear on what to do with the bread... He may have eaten some. Whatever! At least it was bread.

Surveying the situation

I'll take some of that

Give it a toss!

The next day, after doing a little playing around the house, we went to ride the carousel. And then after naps, we went to Auntie Judy's friend's house to feed her bunnies. The boys had such a great time there! Ms. Kathy was so sweet and made the boys feel so special! She even gave me 3 plants.

Doing a little coloring

Playing a little soccer

Here I come!

Helllllllooooooo!

Watching the big boys. (Mommy is mean... She said we didn't need to pay for Hunter to ride; he wouldn't know the difference.)

Feeding the bunnies

The boys with sweet Ms. Kathy

On the way home from Ms. Kathy's, we had snow cones...

...before dinner!!

A little dip while waiting for dinner. (We may have busted out the soap and given them a bath in the pool when they were done.)

 Dinner, poolside.

Our last day, we went to the Stockyards in Fort Worth to watch the cattle drive. The boys were so excited to go. (They're excited to do anything new!) John rode on a bull...Noah wouldn't even get close to it. I would have guess it to be the other way around. After we had a good nap and some dinner, we went to a park to play.

Future cowboy?

He even gave him a little pat.

Riding the pony.

Noah was into the pony rides. That's a little more his speed.

The cattle drive.

Making our own mini pizzas for dinner.

Everyone got to pick their own toppings.

Hunter even did his own. (He loves to do anything his brothers do.)

Just swingin'

Playing on the merry-go-round

And then the fun was done...

Big stuff stretching his legs on the way home.

Zzzz... (Notice all their heads are going the same way.)

Auntie Judy thought of everything when we came! She had all kinds of fun things for the boys to play with at her house and fun things to go do! The boys had a blast. We'll be back!!!
