Me and Froggy

Well, Noah is 11 months old... Is that even possible??? Where has the time gone? There was a little delay in the taking of the monthly picture. When we went to Colorado, we borrowed my mom's suitcase. When we unpacked, the charger may have been left in it. We didn't realize it was AWOL until the camera battery was totally dead. My good friend Shelly luckily had a charger we were able to borrow. So, the picture was 4 days late, but let's pretend, shall we?

He looks so old with all of his teeth. He has 7 now; 4 on top and 3 on bottom. He's developed quite an attachment for his froggy. He's always slept with it, but now he must have it when he sees it. Last night, when we were brushing our teeth, froggy went for a swim in the sink. Luckily, I'm very smart! We have 2 identical froggys. (Don't tell Noah. He doesn't have a clue.) I switch them out periodically so they are "loved" (or worn) and smell the same. Noah did not have to sleep with a wet froggy last night.

Have you ever done something and just thought "How can I be so dumb!?!?" Well, this might top them all! This week, I put some lotion into my hand out of a new bottle, and I thought this looks like soap. I looked at the bottle and it said "Hydration Lotion." So, I thought it must be lotion. I proceeded to lather (and I do mean lather) my right leg with it. I looked again... It was soap with 1/4 hydration lotion. I then realized that was why it was not with the other lotion in the store.

Noah has this new "distressed" whine. It's quite funny. He does it when he thinks he needs help. We just laugh. He also tries to snap his fingers like daddy. Also very cute!

A few days ago, I went into Noah's room to get him up from his nap and this is what I found... I have no idea how it happened.

Just in case you need a better view of how all the cool kids are wearing their sweaters these days...

And, just for kicks. Don't you wish you were this flexible?

Home Sweet Home

We had a great vacation! The last day we were there, Greg didn't ski. We decided to take Noah up the mountain on the gondola. He LOVED it! It was so cute. The GUYS on the stops on the way down the mountain would yell in at Noah when the doors would open. Very cute.

Noah wouldn't look at the camera, so Greg just looked where Noah was looking...

That evening we went strolling around town.

The trip home was rough for all! We nearly missed our plane. We were standing in a super long line to check in. Greg kept saying, we're going to make it. I, on the other hand, did not think we would make it... A ticket agent went by asking if everyone was checking bags. Hello!! We were all in Colorado, most people were skiing and had 84 bags each. Then she walked past again and asked us if Noah had his own seat. We said no. She said come with me. She took us to a line with only 3 people in front of us. When we checked in, the ticket agent told us our bags might not be on the plane because we were checking in late. We barely made it. We might have been the last on ones the plane. Poor little Noah was starving by the time we got on the plane. But once again, he just went with the flow and was so good. "The bags?" you ask. All but one made it. The one that didn't make it was the Pack 'n' Play. Greg's brother was kind enough to go to the airport and get it for us since we flew into KC. (Thanks, Matt!!!) We were all so glad to be home...

Noah has decided that bodily functions are funny...such a boy! He laughs when he toots, sneezes, burps, you name it. It is particularly funny to him when I sneeze.

When Noah was little, he was pee quite frequently when we'd change his diaper. We had these fabulous pee-pee tee-pees to catch it. He kind of quit doing it...until recently. And, of course, he thinks it's very funny. He's been mid-cry and stopped to laugh. The pee-pee tee-pees don't work very well anymore. As soon as it's placed, Noah grabs it. Doesn't do much good in his hand...

Happy New Year!

Saturday morning, we headed for Breckenridge. We stopped to have some lunch. Before we got back in the car, I took Noah to change his diaper (in the dirty bathroom...). Before I could get his diaper back on him, he tinkled on his sock. He, of course, thought it was funny. I took his one sock off and rinsed it in the sink. He had to wear one sock... I thought the sun might dry the sock a bit on the way... Didn't work as well as I had planned.

Noah is getting spoiled this week. He hasn't spent much time by himself. There are 6 other kids here. They all want to play with him and hold him. He's going to be lonely next week when we get home. Sometimes, he does just want his own space...
